ELOG REPORT INTELLIGENCE DASHBOARD
2026 Law Society of Kenya Elections Observation Report
This dashboard presents ELOG’s independent observation of the 2026 Law Society of Kenya Elections, covering the LSK Council Elections 2026–2028 and the election of Members to the Advocates Disciplinary Tribunal. The report assesses the electoral process across opening, voting, closing, counting, tallying, incident management and results transparency. ELOG’s observation found that the elections were generally peaceful, orderly and procedurally structured. Key integrity safeguards were observed, including full compliance with allowing voters in the queue by closing time to cast their ballots and verification of ballot box seals before counting. No major or critical incidents were recorded. The report also identifies correctable administrative and procedural gaps, including ballot secrecy concerns linked to polling station layout, minor counting and tabulation challenges, accreditation-list discrepancies, voter identification issues and non-public posting of results forms in some observed stations. Overall, ELOG assessed the 2026 LSK Elections as largely credible, peaceful and procedurally compliant. The report recommends stronger training for polling officials, consolidated written guidelines, early voter education, enhanced voter verification, standardized tallying procedures, improved accreditation systems and structured post-election review mechanisms to strengthen future LSK electoral processes.

Ballot box seals were intact before counting in sampled polling stations.
Seal serial numbers were verified in the presence of candidate agents before ballot boxes were opened.
Positive • Page 16Ballot secrecy vulnerabilities
29.17% of observers reported that secrecy standards were not fully upheld.
Concerns were linked to voting booth placement, queue proximity and limited space in court facilities, though no systematic manipulation was observed.
Concern • Page 15Counting fatigue and tabulation errors
25% of polling stations experienced minor counting or procedural challenges.
The counting of multiple ballots across nine contested positions caused delays, repeated counts and some tabulation errors.
