The launching of the Strategic Plan will serve as ELOG’s continued commitment to ensure elections in Kenya are credible, free, fair and transparent. The new Strategic Plan provides a clear and well-thought-out strategic direction for ELOG to continuously and comprehensively observe and monitor the electoral processes and advocate for improvements that will enhance the credibility of democratic electoral processes in Kenya and the African Continent. “MPs will vote again on a Bill seeking to change the election date from August to December, National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi has said. Muturi set October 1 as the day for voting on whether the Bill by Ugenya MP David Ochieng' will go into the Third Reading. In a statement on Thursday, he said principles of parliamentary practice would be contravened if a further vote did not take place. The Bill seeks to change the election date from the second Tuesday of August to the third Monday of December to keep from disrupting the national budget cycle and exams.On…
